We Are Open.


Mellow has always maintained the highest level of sanitation when it comes to laundering our linens, disinfecting our space between clients, and maintaining a clean, tidy and healthy environment for our staff, clients and students.  Below you will find listed some of the additional changes we’ve implemented, to keep both our staff and you - our clients as safe as possible.

GENERAL CHANGES AND UPDATES



Mandatory Masks

  • All employees, staff and clients are required to wear a cloth or disposable mask or face covering in all areas of the Center.

Screening

  • We will screen clients and students with regard to travel and follow CDC recommendations for those who have recently traveled.

  • We will use a "virtual reception room". Clients will be asked to call or text our office when they arrive for their appointment, but remain in their car or outside until we call or text them to come in. 

  • Everyone entering the building will be required to wash their hands immediately or use hand sanitizer, which will be available at the front door, the front desk, in treatment rooms, and in several other places around the Center.

  • ALL CLIENTS AND STAFF must maintain a 6 foot Social Distance as much as possible.

  • Walking traffic will move into and out of the Center in One Direction with the use of our side door for exiting the Center and our normal front door for entry.

  • We’ll continue to improve on our ‘contact-lite’ transaction processes by implementing digital/electronic forms, pre-screening, social tipping and prepayments.



CHANGES TO SERVICES

  • We will temporarily remove the following from our list of services:

    • Prenatal Massage

    • Couples Massage

    • Hot Stone Massage

    • Face Massage including Cold Stone Face Massage

*If you have a gift certificate or membership benefit for any of these services we will gladly substitute for another service or extend your expiration date until we are offering this service again.

 

CHANGES TO TREATMENT PROCEDURES AND SUPPLIES

 

  • All linens will continue to be single service use and will be laundered (washed and dried) in virus-killing high temperatures. Blankets have been replaced with 2 top sheets or a Flannel Sheet for warmth.

  • Pillows will be covered with vinyl covers, and/or bolsters will be used.

  • Fleece face cradle covers have been removed for ease of cleaning. 

 

CHANGES / UPDATES TO CLEANING

 

  • Massage Therapists and other staff are required to thoroughly wipe down ALL treatment room surfaces, tools and materials in between clients with provided hospital-grade or EPA-registered disinfectant supplies.

  • We will use EPA registered approved products to clean our restrooms regularly (hourly) and will have a written cleaning log posted in each bathroom.

  • We will be using TrueHEPA and other filtration systems to remove dust, mold and other allergens as well as to remove and potentially kill harmful viruses and bacteria from our air on a regular basis.

  • A portable sanitizing UV Wand will be available for use on surfaces to kill viruses, germs, bacteria and mold.

  • We will continuously disinfect commonly touched surfaces such as doorknobs, and countertops, pens, etc. (anything someone might touch from the front desk to the treatment room) at high frequency. Additional cleaning staff will help us achieve these plans. 

 

 

We will continue to update these changes as necessary in accordance with further direction from the CDC and other governing agencies.  We will be revising our precautions as needed to create an even more safe and clean environment without interrupting your relaxing and therapeutic experience. We appreciate your understanding and flexibility as we deal with all of these changes.
