About the Instructor: Sarah Charlesworth-Attie discovered yoga while sampling group exercise classes at her gym in 2001. A bicycle racer at that time, she also discovered that yoga was the ideal warm-up on hard training and racing days, as she felt much more agile and energized as a result...the energy (she'd eventually learn about prana) just flowed more freely through the body after yoga. Sarah completed a 250-hour foundation vinyasa training program at Blue Banyan and an 85-hour prenatal/postnatal yoga certification program through Prenatal Yoga Center in NYC. She currently teaches group and private classes to a variety of students - from toddlers to seniors - though her passion is working with pregnant and postpartum women. When she discovered yin yoga, her practice and teaching changed dramatically as the passive style of yoga allowed her to dig deep, discover greater ways to relax and to help her students understand the tools they already have to achieve relaxation. Her mantra is the Chinese proverb, “Tension is who you think you should be. Relaxation is who you are.”
