This 5-week prenatal series will guide you through breathing and movement techniques which will help nurture you and your baby/babies during this very special time. Relaxation practices will also be done to promote awareness to the mind, body and breath. Prenatal yoga can help improve circulation, increase comfort and awareness as well as releasing tension within the body. About the Instructor: Sarah Charlesworth-Attie discovered yoga while sampling group exercise classes at her gym in 2001. A bicycle racer at that time, she also discovered that yoga was the ideal warm-up on hard training and racing days, as she felt much more agile and energized as a result...the energy (she'd eventually learn about prana) just flowed more freely through the body after yoga. Sarah completed a 250-hour foundation vinyasa training program at Blue Banyan and an 85-hour prenatal/postnatal yoga certification program through Prenatal Yoga Center in NYC. She currently teaches group and private classes to a variety of students - from toddlers to seniors - though her passion is working with pregnant and postpartum women. Sarah’s teaching style focuses on creating freedom of movement in the physical body and cultivating the mind-body-breath connection, using a creative and accessible approach to meet students wherever they are.
